English Theatre Düsseldorf ist die einzige professionelle englischsprachige Theatergruppe in Nordrhein-Westfalen. Unsere Mission ist es, sowohl Englischlernenden als auch Muttersprachlern künstlerisch exzellentes englischsprachiges Theater zu bieten, sinnvolle internationale kulturelle Erfahrungen zu vermitteln, den kulturellen Austausch zu erleichtern und Kunstverständnis und künstlerischen Ausdruck bei Schülern jeden Alters zu fördern. ETD setzt sich dafür ein, die ohnehin schon lebendige und wachsende internationale Kulturlandschaft Düsseldorfs durch die Kunst zu unterstützen. Wir erreichen unsere Vision, indem wir mit internationalen Künstlern zusammenarbeiten, eine abwechslungsreiche Spielzeit aufstellen, die sowohl neue und sich entwickelnde Werke von lokalen Dramatikern als auch europäische Erstaufführungen internationaler Stücke umfasst, und unsere Gemeinschaft durch Theaterworkshops für Erwachsene und Kinder stärken. 

English Theatre Düsseldorf is the only professional English-language theatre company in North Rhine Westphalia. Our mission is to bring artistically excellent English-language theatre to English learners and native speakers alike; to provide meaningful international cultural experiences; to facilitate cultural exchange; and to foster arts appreciation and artistic expression in students of all ages. ETD is committed to supporting the already vital and growing international cultural landscape of Düsseldorf through the arts. We achieve our vision by collaborating with international artists; programming a diverse season that includes new and developing work from local playwrights as well as European premieres of international plays; and by empowering our community through theatre workshops for adults and children.
